A practical guide to sending artwork for branded clothing without getting lost in design-file jargon.
Start with the best file you have
Vector artwork is often ideal because it can be resized cleanly, but do not delay an enquiry because you are unsure what format you have. Send the original logo files available and explain how you want the branding used.
For embroidery
Embroidery requires the artwork to be digitised into stitch instructions. Small text, very fine lines and tiny detail may need simplifying so the finished logo stays readable on fabric.
For printing
High-resolution artwork helps keep edges and detail clean. Transparent-background artwork can also be useful depending on the print method and garment colour.
Do not screenshot your logo if you can avoid it
A screenshot or image copied from a website is usually lower quality than the original artwork. If you have an EPS, PDF, SVG, AI or high-resolution PNG, send that instead.
Need help with your own order?
